postponed because of the COVID-19 situation

The 2nd International Symposium on Neuroscience with Music is postponed towards a later date either in the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021!
Although the COVID-19 situation has calmed down a bit (in our hemisphere), the virus is still there and causes some restrictions for us and you (especially for our friends in the American continent, in Russia and in the far and middle East).
Not knowing how many people would join us (because of still possible travel restrictions), how many guests we are allowed to have in September and how to find sponsors that will support our event, we should win some time by rescheduling the NSM.
The possible new dates will be announced as soon as we made our decision together with our freinds and partners.
And of course there is also the fact that we want to make the 2nd NSM a carefree celebration. Unfortunately, this is currently not possible!
After some considerations (and surveys among our partners) we decided against offering NSM as a digital conference, because – as one of our appreciated supporters said: “If there is any conference that cannot be replaced digitally, then it is “Neuroscience with Music”…
Of course, it is clear that, even despite of the postponement the prevailing situation can stop us again, but it is important for us to clearly signal that we will continue to organize “Neuroscience with Music”, whenever it is/will be possible for us.
We are very sorry that we cannot carry out the NSM20 as planned, but we now think that the postponement is the best option for everyone involved.
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to attend the 2nd International Symposium on Neuroscience with Music (NSM209) to be held on the 11th – 12th of September 2020 in Berlin, Germany at the Umweltforum.
The team of academus GmbH is proud to announce the this event – a groundbreaking meeting of science, technology and arts. At this intimate-scale scientific and artistic symposium, we bring together leading researchers, commercial players and artists to start new conversations about role of acoustic methodologies and in particular music as a therapeutic and curative mean in the field of neurosciences. By going beyond established formats, we challenge the boundaries of neuroscience and music, we share and shape trends, approaches and applications.
The NSM 2019 was intended to start an annual series of events in this field of knowledge, and it widened the portfolio of academus’ events towards opening new and still unexplored mindsets and innovative technologies.
The 2nd NSM will take place on the 11th – 12th of September 2020 again at the Umweltforum Berlin, and will widen the focus not only on music, but also on dancing!
