… academus strongly believes that the best and most creative ideas can be born at the junction of different areas of knowledge, and we invite you to come to Berlin and make the creative explosion happen – to bring together neurosciences and music.
The series of International Symposiums on Neuroscience with Music (NSM) will become a point of change in your mind on how the symposia can be – in terms of your mood, mode of work and practical findings. You will experience it on the next edition (formerly schedule for 11th – 12th September 2020, but postponed because of the COVID-19 spillover effects) when within two amazing days you will be part an artistic concept along with business-wise talks – easy flowing and unlocking any potentials that would allow you to learn, to feel, to create.Â
Whoever you are – a businessman, producing medical equipment, a scientist, a neurologist, a psychotherapist, a neuro-biologist, a musician, a philosopher or anyone else – we need you as an influencer within our common field of interests – simply because we all are humans, searching for soft but effective treatment methods.
About the Program Structure
Allowing for inspiring and energising interactions, the programme includes lectures, live experiments, performances, discussions and networking buffets. Music will play a key role in advancing our understanding of neuroscience from clinical, cognitive, social and psychological stances. Professional musicians will also give a special concert tailored to the symposium, and participants will get to enjoy a gala concert closing the every edition of the NSM.
We will start with a surprise for all the participants, followed by key-note inputs, amazing in their diversity but targeting to challenge the findings on music treatments from preventive, curative and rehabilitative healthcare perspectives. Please also expect the rich welcome buffet and the indispensable food for the soul – the organ concert in the evening.
We also encourage you to get into the discussions with our NSM experts. Prof. Vsevolod Schurkhai, psychologist Yana Larionova, Professor and organist Ekaterina Melnikova, Aramaic singer Maria Kaplan, neuro-biologist Mikhail Lebedev, neuroscientist Mendel Kaelen, sound engineer Hanna Preuss, coach and organ player Robert Knight, social cultural activities’ designer Rahel Savoldelli, musician Almut Lustig and a lot more great NSM experts attend the NSM 2019 and will attend the next NSM as well – together with more and other internationally reknowned experts.
